Standard Well Man
Duration: 45 minutes
This medical is performed by a doctor and includes the following:
- Full medical history, which includes family history. At this stage, and at all stages during the medical, the patient has the opportunity to discuss any health concerns that he may have.
- Full examination including testicular examination.
- Height and weight are measured and body mass index is determined, which is a clinically accepted indicator of potential health problems associated with being overweight.
- Coronary risk score, which measures the risk of having a heart attack or stroke in the next 10 years. It is suitable only for people who have not had the diagnosis of heart disease or stroke.
- Urine test to screen for abnormalities that may be due to diabetes, an infection or kidney problems.
- Resting ECG to monitor the heart.
- Blood test, which includes liver function, kidney function, diabetes screening test and cholesterol levels.
