Richard trained in medicine at University College Hospital, has studied at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene, and practised in a variety of clinical settings at teaching hospitals in the UK and overseas before establishing the Fleet Street Clinic with Gillian Whitby in 1995. He has been involved in Travel Medicine for more than thirty years, and has personal experience of travel in more than 100 countries around the world.

Gillian trained in optometry in Glasgow, and has almost thirty years' experience of clinical optometry. She has worked in Fleet Street since 1983, establishing her own practice in 1995.

Sally qualified from St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in 1986. She trained in accident and emergency and psychiatry before working as a locum and subsequently as resident medical officer in a private hospital in the south of England. She then took the opportunity to work for several years as a journalist when she worked as part of the editorial team of several national magazines. She was health editor as well as general features writer covering travel, books and gardening - interests that she continues to pursue. She became an associate in a private GP practice in the City in 1995, and came to work at the Fleet Street Clinic in 2003.

Carsten graduated from Hanover Medical School in 1996. After that he worked for several years in different hospitals in Germany and for health programmes in Africa and Asia. Since 2004 he has been working as a GP in London and joined the Fleet Street Clinic in 2008. He also works as a GP partner in an NHS GP practice and in different hospitals in London providing urgent care.

Will Cave qualified from the Middlesex hospital in 1986. After six years in hospital medicine he circumnavigated the world in a self-restored 34-foot yacht, returning in 1995 to complete his GP training. He achieved membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1996.
After studying tropical medicine at Liverpool University he spent seven years working in South Asia, six of them in Nepal at a primary health care and emergency clinic for foreign residents, travellers and mountaineers. He has post-graduate qualifications in child health, obstetrics, gynaecology, family planning, travel and tropical medicine.
Dr Cave still travels when he can. In 2009 he worked for the Foreign Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh and more recently in Ethiopia where he undertook a brief survey of medical services in Addis Ababa. He is currently a member of the Nathnac advisory committee.

Belinda qualified from St Mary's Hospital Medical School in 1982. After doing her GP training in London and the South East, she worked as a GP in London, South Wales, Pangbourne and Reading, and currently works in General Practice in Virginia Water as well as for the Fleet Street Clinic.
She has also worked for The Pregnancy Advisory Service, The Brook Advisory Bureau, the Women's National Cancer Control Campaign, the Tenovus Cancer Control Campagin and PPP.

Anton is a graduate of the University of Pretoria in South Africa where he completed degrees, BSc (Microbiology/Physiology) and BChD (Dentistry). He has a wide range of clinical experience gained working in both NHS and private practice.

Pilar joins the Fleet Street Clinic as an Associate Dentist bringing with her a wealth of experience garnered during international postings as far afield as Spain, Chile & Cuba. She has also worked as a volunteer dentist with the displaced Haitian population in the Dominican Republic.
Pilar graduated in Dental Surgery from UEM, University of Madrid and further qualified in Advanced Oral Surgery at Havana University, Cuba. She is fluent in English, Spanish & Portuguese.
Since her move to the UK in 2009, Pilar has worked in both NHS and Private Dental Practices based in Gloucestershire, Baker Street, Covent Garden and Marylebone in London.

Lavinia graduated from Brunel University in 1999 as a Medical Biochemist and joined Moorfields Eye Hospital, Institute of Ophthalmology, where her research into "Angiogenesis and Drug Resistance in Uveal Melanoma" resulted in the publication of two papers. She then graduated as an Optometrist from City University in 2002. Soon after, she was awarded the 'Stephen Dawson prize for Clinical Excellence' from the Institute of Optometry, London. She achieved membership to the College of Optometrists in 2003. She is also a member of the General Optical Council and the Association of Optometrists. As well as being in practice, Lavinia also lectures and teaches at the Institute of Optometry and City University.

Shafquet qualified as a Dispensing Optician, winning the Association of British Dispenising Opticans prize for best final year examination before going on to read Optometry at The University of Ulster, Coleraine. Whilst reading Optometry, Shafquet completed his registration and was awarded fully registered Dispensing Optician Status.
Shafquet completed his Optometry post-graduate training at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital where he continued as a sessional Optometrist specialising in complex Contact lens work and general adult Optometry and Ophthalmology
Shafquet also worked as a Clinical Supervisor and Mentor at the Institute of Optometry to newly graduated pre-registration Optometrists.
Shafquet was appointed to the first ever NSCAG-funded post of Craniofacial Optometrist at Great Ormond Street Hospital, a post he held for two years.

Amy graduated from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in New Zealand in 2004. She has the majority of her nursing experience in the paediatric field with a special interest in community, primary health care and global development. Since arriving in the UK in 2008 she has spent her time working as a locum paediatric nurse and travelling to a wide variety of countries. She joined the clinic in February 2012.

Ruth is a state-registered Dietitian, a member of the British Dietetic Association, and is registered with the Health Professions Council. She graduated from Kings College London with a degree in nutrition and a diploma in dietetics in 1995. Since then, Ruth has been working within the NHS, mainly in a teaching hospital setting. She has a broad range of clinical experience. Ruth works part time at the Hammersmith Hospital, specialising in renal medicine, and in private practice.

Diane became interested in Oriental medicine in the early 1990s when she lived in the Far East for three years. She subsequently studied Shiatsu Massage for four years gaining a post-graduate certificate in 1998. Diane worked extensively as a Shiatsu therapist where she took a special interest in the field of back pain.
Diane spent three years studying Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture at the University of Westminster where she gained a BSc (hons) degree. This required the study of both Chinese and Western medicine.

He has more than 25 years' experience consulting in clinical and organisational settings in the UK and abroad. He is also a UKCP Registered Family and Couples Therapist having specialised in Systemic Therapy at the Tavistock Clinic London. Rob also practices cognitive behavioural therapy and is an advocate of time limited and solution focused therapeutic approaches.

Tami is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist. Tami has a wide range of experience both within the NHS, voluntary and private sector. Her experience in the NHS includes being part of the HIV psychology service at the Royal Free Hospital, which cultivated her interest in working with chronic illness. She has also worked extensively with substance addiction and misuse within an NHS drugs and alcohol service, both with groups and individuals.
Tami’s work within a GP surgery has ensured that she is used to working within a short time framework, providing maximum interventions in minimum time.
Tami is used to working within a multicultural framework and with clients for whom English is not their first language. She understands the importance of tailoring therapy for an individual’s needs.

Fran is a Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society. Since graduating with a BSc in Psychology (1st class) Fran has gained experience in a variety of clinical and research settings.
She has worked with individuals (adults, older adults, adolescents and children), couples, and families and has facilitated group work. In the NHS Fran has worked in GP practices, Community Mental Health teams, Mental Health Resource Centres as well as in a specific health related setting in a major London Hospital. She also has experience of working within the charity sector, for organisations such as ‘Re-Think’ and ‘Samaritans’, and in a specialist school. Fran is trained and BPS accredited in levels A and B Psychometric testing. This enables her to conduct both personality assessment and aptitude testing which can be helpful when considering career development and staff selection.
