Hannah graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 and worked as a rehabilitation nurse in a specialist centre for the west of Scotland, before moving to the south to study tropical nursing.
After travelling in Vietnam and Thailand, she arrived in London and has practised in a variety of clinical settings: alongside working with the Fleet Street Clinic, she works as an intensive care nurse in the trauma centre at King's College Hospital, and for both Wembley National Stadium and the Kia Oval, providing out-of-hospital triage and urgent care during sports matches and other events. Hannah has also previously spent time working with a specialist GP team for refugees, as a youth worker for girls struggling with self-harm, and on a health promotion team delivering services in British sign language for the deaf community.
