Patient Information Guide

The Fleet Street Clinic welcomes you to our multi-disciplinary medical center. Established in 1995,
we offer personalized care in a comfortable environment. Clinical excellence is our highest priority.
This guide is designed to provide you with essential information, and the terms and conditions upon which we offer our services.

Our Services

Our practitioners are highly experienced, fully insured and work closely together, so cross-referral is quick and an enormous benefit to our patients. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and SEQQHS accredited. We pride ourselves on being able to look after our patients in a way that involves minimal loss of time from the workplace.

Opening Hours

We are open from 8:45 am to 8:00 pm four days a week; Monday to Thursday, 8:45 am to 5:30 pm on Fridays; and occasional Saturday mornings for vaccinations. For medical or dental emergencies, we offer an out of hours telephone contact number.

Appointments

We have both male and female GP’s available; if you have a preference, please advise our reception team when you book. Please let us know if you require a chaperone or if you have any mobility issues so we can make necessary arrangements.

Reminders/Recalls

We will send you a reminder (by email or SMS text message) the day before your booked appointment. If you are unable to make the appointment and wish to reschedule, please let us know so that we can release the appointment slot to another patient and avoid the risk of incurring and cancellation charges (see below) . We will also send you a notification where any recall/recommended follow up appointment is due.

Confidentiality

We guarantee to respect your patient confidentiality at all times and not to communicate any information about you to any third party, including your employer, without your prior formal consent in writing.

Our Fees

All fees are payable on the day of your appointment. A deposit will be required to secure an evening ‘out of hours’ appointment. We accept all major debit and credit cards, except American Express, Diners Credit Card, and Union Plus Credit Card. We charge a fee for the professional appointment time plus the cost of any required medication, tests, vaccines or referral. A list of our most common prices is available here, or ask our reception team or the individual practitioner will be happy to discuss these with you and advise of any additional costs.

Late Arrivals

We will do our very best to see you at your appointed time. In the event of late arrival, we cannot guarantee to see you if this will cause delay to subsequent patients. In this situation, we will advise whether a  slightly later appointment is available or whether you need to re-book.

Cancellation Charges

We regret that missed appointments and those cancelled within a 12 hour time frame prior to the appointment will attract a full appointment fee where the vacated appointment slot s not filled by another patient. We will invoice you for the missed appointment fee.

Corporate Clients

Please note that if the cost of any appointment or treatment is to be covered by your company on their corporate account, this must be authorised by your company prior to your appointment. We will look to you to cover any costs not authorised or met by your company.

Membership Schemes

We offer both a GP membership scheme; 4 x 15 min GP appointments including a mini heath screen and a flu jab within a 12 month period, and an annual dental membership scheme; 2 x check up and 2 x hygiene appointments within a 12 month period.
We also welcome Corporate Accounts and offer a Chambers Membership Scheme. For more information on these, please contact Katie Glover on kglover@fleetstreetclinic.com.

Nursing Agencies/Nurses

We provide a full Health Clearance Service & vaccinations programme for national performers and nursing agencies. For more information about these services and our price list, please contact occhealthadmin@fleetstreetcclinic.com or speak to our reception team. We offer Mantoux testing on Wednesdays and BCG vaccinations on Fridays only.

Special Promotions

Do ask our reception team about our seasonal health promotions which we offer at reduced rates. Such as our discounted ‘Top to Toe’ Health check, incorporating a Wellman or Well woman medical, and eye test and dental check up.

Accessing your Health Records

We will provide copies of your medical records within 7 working days of receiving a valid, written request. We may charge a small administrative fee for this service and will advise you of this up on receiving you request.

Feedback and Complaints

We welcome your comments, suggestions or feedback on any of our services and regularly seek feedback via an online patient survey. Feedback questionnaires are also available at our reception desk for you to complete should you wish to do so.

We hope that any problems that ma arise can be resolved quickly and to your satisfaction. However if you wish to make a formal complaint, a copy of our Complaints policy & Procedure us available from our reception team and here on our website.
